Ocean Explorers Summer Camp
Select Fridays in June-August
Dive into the underwater world at Via Aquarium’s Summer Day Camp!
Children in grades 1 through 6 can join us for an immersive day filled with exciting hands-on activities, educational workshops, and captivating exhibits.
From exploring marine life to behind-the-scenes tours, campers will embark on an unforgettable journey of discovery and exploration.
Other activities will include scavenger hunts, arts & crafts, experiments, and more!
Tickets are available for full days (10:30am-4:00pm) or half days (10:30am-1:30pm).
Drop-off will be at the admissions desk at 10:30am. Pick-up will be at 1:30pm for half-day campers and 4:00pm for full-day campers at the gift shop.
Please pack your campers with a prepared lunch, a change of clothes (the stingrays do splash), and closed-toe shoes for behind-the-scenes access.
A behind-the-scenes waiver will need to be signed upon morning drop-off on any applicable camp days.
Camp Schedule:
Friday, June 28: Rock On! – Turn trash into treasures for a day of sustainable creativity. We’ll explore the art of papermaking, create art out of egg cartons, transform rocks into masterpieces, and reuse jars as flowerpots.
Friday, July 12: Marine Explorers – Dive into the underwater world of marine invertebrates, to learn about their vital role in ocean ecosystems and explore how they are different from vertebrates.
Friday, July 26: Jawsome Adventures – Spend the day learning about the apex predators of the ocean, sharks, and their cousins, the stingrays! You’ll even get to feed our leopard sharks!
Friday, August 9: Nature Explorers – Spend the day at Great Flats Nature Trail exploring the wonders of nature! Campers will keep a journal of all the wildlife, big and small, that we find! Only for campers is grades 3 through 6.

Friday, August 23: Summer Send-off – Savor the last moments of summer with ice cream sundaes, movies, arts & crafts, and of course plenty of time hanging out with the stingrays!
